South Mosquito Creek Trail

South Mosquito Creek Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A two-or three-day backpack trip in the Monitor Range following a seldom-used trail through the lower country west of Table Mountain. Start by following the unsigned Mosquito Creek Trail south, across the creek from the parking area. The trail goes up a short steep section, and then the South Mosquito Creek Trail branches right (south) at an unsigned junction.

It follows the South Fork of Mosquito Creek for a little over a mile. It is possible to use this trail and the Mosquito Creek Trail to make a loop over Table Mountain. The loop should start with the South Mosquito Creek Trail, which is harder to find than the Mosquito Creek Trail. That way, if you lose the trail, you can return to the trailhead the way you came."
