Moores Creek Trail

Moores Creek Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A day hike in the Toquima Range offering access to the north end of the Mount Jefferson Plateau. The trail follows the old jeep road to a pass at the head of Pasco Canyon. From here, work your way south along the ridges, then contour west cross-country into upper Moores Creek, where you will encounter an old trail ascending Moores Creek to the north rim of the Mount Jefferson Plateau.

At the rim, the view is open to the north but somewhat restricted by the points to the east and west. Continue cross-country southeast to the 11,814-foot North Summit, for 50-mile views in all directions. This is your destination for the hike."
