Meadow Creek Trail

Meadow Creek Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A day hike in the Toquima Range, featuring access to the scenic Mount Jefferson crest trail from the south, and a remote alpine basin. Follow the jeep trail as it climbs the ridge just west of the head of Meadow Creek. This section is a steady climb on a moderate grade with panoramic views of the Meadow Creek basin.

After about 2 miles, the jeep trail turns east and contours to Windy Pass, overlooking Andrews basin. Your route becomes a foot trail after the pass, climbing across the upper section of Andrews basin, then climbing steeply to a saddle on the ridge east of the South Summit of Mount Jefferson. This saddle, your destination, offers sweeping views of Andrew basin and upper Pine Creek close at hand, and the Monitor Valley and Monitor Range farther to the east."
