Cottonwood Creek/ Barley Creek Trail

Cottonwood Creek/ Barley Creek Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A loop hike at the south end of the Monitor Range. You’ll be hiking this loop counterclockwise. Go east on the Cottonwood Creek Trail (signed just beyond the trailhead). The well-built trail stays on the north side of the creek for a while.

At first the creek is lined only with willow, but soon you come to the first grove of aspen. In the fall these graceful trees turn yellow and orange, adding colorful accents to the gray-green canyon."
