Lye Creek Basin

Lye Creek Basin Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A cross-country day hike in the Granite Peak area of the Santa Rosa Range to an alpine basin with limber pine and quaking aspen. Walk up the jeep road west of Lye Creek into the aspen-filled basin of Lye Creek.

Snow banks continue to melt into the hot days of late August, nurturing the last flowers of summer. Cross-country hiking on game trails will bring you to small wet meadows, jumbled granite boulders, and finally a magnificent limber pine."
