Desert Trail High Rock Canyon Section

Desert Trail: High Rock Canyon Section Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A multi-day backpack trip along a major section of the proposed National Scenic Desert Trail through the historic High Rock Canyon area. The Desert Trail is not a constructed trail or clearly defined path. Usually it is a corridor without specific borders through which you may pass, choosing your own route.

The purpose is to avoid leaving a beaten path by minimizing your impact on fragile soils and vegetation. The trail in High Rock Canyon follows a road, while the northern part of the trail follows both roads and Cottonwood Creek. You must have the USGS topographic maps and a compass to do this hike."
