Canteen Trail

Canteen Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Canteen Trail is one of the longer trails in the Oasis Valley system of trails. The trail got its name from an old canteen Dave Spicer found along the side of the trail as he was laying it out. The canteen made him wonder why it had been left behind and who had left it there. Of course, that question was never answered, but Dave left the canteen on the side of the trail as a reminder of a bygone era. This trail heads back to an old silica mine high into the hills and on the way provides some of the best views available of the Oasis Valley.

As the terrain changes along the ride, you see colorful desert, stalwart Joshua trees, and landscape that in one place gives you the feeling of being on the surface of the moon."
