South Fork Big Wash

South Fork Big Wash Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A day hike on a seldom-used trail in a remote section of Great Basin National Park. The old jeep road climbs steeply to a broad saddle, entering the park at a signed gate. It then descends through fir-aspen forest, switches back sharply to the right (northeast), and descends to the dry bed of South Fork Big Wash. An old steam boiler remains from an old sawmill. The trail continues as a footpath and climbs out on the left (north) slope."
