Ash Springs

Ash Springs Professional Review and Guide

"Here you’ll find soothing warm springs, endangered fish, and ancient rock art. From the car, hike the short 30 feet to the springs.

This burbling spring, as well as the entire Pahranagat Valley that runs north-south through this region, have attracted people for thousands of years. If you’re looking to relax, grab your bathing suit and ease yourself into the warm water of Ash Springs."

"A series of natural hot spring ponds shaded by several large trees in a picnic spot. Ash Spring is an ideal place for a soak, if you happen to be in this isolated part of the state. A pleasant set of hot springs, Ash Springs provide a welcome oasis in the isolated desert.

Although there are several springs in the area, their outflow makes a small creek with several small pools. These pools are ideal for bathing, with relatively sandy bottoms and varied sizes and depths— always big enough to soak in. Although this is an isolated part of the state, the springs are relatively well known, easily accessible, and rather visible. Keep this in mind when bathing. Primitive, with an adjacent campground."

It's a great place for a soak in an open air amongs few big trees and a barbecue picnic area. Bring some grilling and you will have a gret time. It's exactly 2 hours from Las Vegas (120 miles)
We arrived at this location around 1 p.m today and found this area over some what littered and a bit over used. The small lot this spring is located on has 3 picnic tables and the water is crystal clear. There was a large group of families present totaling about 26 individuals mostly children all of which including the adults were swimming in full clothing or just their undergarments. This oasis out in the desert may be so if the location was a bit more isolated, but this location is only located 300 yards off the highway and a trucker had stopped by to walk a dog through the park, children 18 of them were running around with no supervision and some what on the loud side. I can see where this area once was a beautiful oasis although humans have the ability to ruin everything that they seem to touch. Reviewed by Bill, Teresa & Jack Kettler
