Bandelier Cruise Professional Review and Guide

"Los Alamos County sits atop finger-like mesas cut by steep canyons—above the Rio Grande and at the base of the Jemez Mountains. While there are few roads up on the mesas and limited riding, the county boasts one of the best loops in the state, which circles around the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

On any given summer weekend, you’ll see a dozen-plus people out riding the roads around LANL. For many cyclists on their lunch break, the question is whether to do the Big Loop or use Pajarito Road and ride one of the two smaller loops. Bruce Letellier, member of the club that organizes a race on the loop, believes this is “one of the most unique and scenic places you can ever choose to ride.”"

Guide was very helpful.Initial climb was hard for unconditioned beginners. Those with cedar allergies should have antihistamines handy.
