RHS has four different temperature soaking tubs in the public soaking area and three others in the private area. The pools range from a high of about 108F down to about 101F. All of the tubs are fairly new, made of stone and concrete, and are outdoors with the majority of them shaded by fabric and wood awnings. The management makes sure that the tubs are cleaned (powerwashed) on a daily basis and makes it a point to not interrupt the clientele to do the cleaning unless necessary.
The accomodations are somewhat rustic, but are clean and functional. There are a few restaurants, antique stores, and bookshops within walking distance, and presently a grocery store and a drug store a few blocks from the Springs. However, WalMart is moving in at the outskirts of town, and we all know what that means.
Overall, RHS is a good value, the only disadvantage being that they close the office and tubs at 10PM. The views of the Rio "Grande" offer glimpses of the local wildlife and add to the laid-back appeal of the place.
