A pleasant and easier hike up a lush streambed to the Sandia Crest. Cienega is Spanish for “wet meadow,” and you’ll hike through several such lush meadows on this route.

This is an easy trail that will take you straight up to the Crest. The views are spectacular. We ride horses/mules up there.
