Granite Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This route has a very nice mix of lovely ponderosa pine parklands: a small stream, the grassy ?at of Little Spring, and tuff formations. The panoramic mountain vistas from the apex of the Diablo Range are impressive.

This long out-and-back route samples the best of Gila mountain meadows, brooks, high pine parks, volcanic tuff, and serrated ridges. The views from the isolated apex of Granite Peak are sensational. Highlights: Lovely ponderosa pine parklands; grassy flat of Little Spring; tuff formations; panoramic mountain vistas."
