Hyde Park Road Summit Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Hyde Park Road Summit is great for cyclists looking to get their thighs burning and gain some major elevation. Hyde Park curves and climbs for almost 10 miles, beginning around 7,850 feet and climbing to over 10,350 feet. The great thing about Hyde Park is that after your climb, you get to reap the rewards as the road descends all the way back to the trailhead.

The Hyde Park Road Summit is a local favorite, and cyclists can be seen climbing to the summit soon after spring has melted the snow away. Though the trail may be bustling with traffic in the peak season, the traffic tends to be slower for most of the route. There are also many places to stop and explore along the climb. Stop by the Hyde Memorial State Park Visitor Center on your Hyde Park Road curves as it climbs to the summit."
