Arroyo Chamisos Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"The Arroyo de los Chamisos Trail is a great multiuse trail that runs through Santa Fe. Riders can access the trail from numerous locations and can enjoy attractions like Campanas Park. The best time to ride without traffic is early in
the morning.

This multiuse recreation path follows along the Arroyo de los Chamisos, a major drainage system in the southeast part of Santa Fe. The Arroyo de los Chamisos Trail is a fun little ride on a well-main tained, smooth paved surface that follows the arroyo for 3.7 miles"

"The path follows along Arroyo de los Chamisos, a major drainage system in the southeast part of town. The Arroyo de los Chamisos Trail is a nice little outing on a smooth paved surface that follows the arroyo of the same name south for 3.7 miles.

This is a great ride for novice cyclists and for those who want to jump on the mountain bike during the winter months when most of the bike trails are snowed in. The trail is popular with walkers and runners and sees a lot of foot traffic during the weekend days. Trail surface: Paved path."

This is a beautiful urban trail that takes you through a mixed-use but mostly residential green space. I would highly recommend it as an escape from the madness that is Santa Fe roadways. It offers very nice sunset rides but also good for anyone wanting to commute into downtown for work from points west. Slow down for the barricades at either end of the bridges; they are right at knee height when you're on your bike. Tibial plateau fractures are common.
