Middle Fork Lake

Middle Fork Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The hike to Middle Fork Lake is very popular with people staying in Red River in the summer. The lake is beautiful, but don’t expect solitude for the hike. The parking area often fills up by midday, but you will probably be able to find places to park down the road from the trailhead. The hike is fairly short, but does do a significant bit of climbing in the thin air."
