Little Horse Mesa Loop Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"One of New Mexico’s most scenic state parks, Sugarite is centered on the canyon of the same name. Gambel oak and ponderosa pine paint the canyon walls in a mosaic of green.
Turkey and deer are common in the oaks and grasslands, and signs of elk, bobcat, and black bear are common in the forests. As for wildfl owers, the park is loaded with unusual species such as the orange-fl owered calico bush, Colorado columbine, and Canada anemone."
