Devils Den Canyon Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"In a dry land with only a thin veneer of unfriendly vegetation, the devil gets blamed for everything. The Southwest has more devil’s canyons, stairways, thrones, peaks, and ridges than one can count.
Devils Den Canyon is a rugged gorge slashed through the western rim of the Guadalupes, ending in a spectacular pour-off along the mountain front. In the surrounding hills, a large herd of mule deer supports a small population of mountain lions. Watch for large cat prints in the soft sand."
