Canada-Capulin Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This scenic, longer hike wanders through the Dome Wilderness in the Santa Fe National Forest and crosses several canyons on the way to a spring just inside Bandelier National Monument. After leaving the trailhead, the Canada-Capulin Trail climbs a bit over a low saddle, then descends gradually to cross the first of three major canyons. After crossing Eagle Canyon, the Canada-Capulin Trail swings around a point and starts to descend the steep west slopes of Sanchez Canyon, the deepest canyon along the trail. The point where the trail crosses Sanchez Canyon makes a good turnaround point for those who want an easier hike. After contouring below St. Peters Dome, the Canada-Capulin Trail meets the St. Peters Dome Trail. Continue straight ahead on the Canada-Capulin Trail and follow it generally northeast as it contours around minor drainages."
