San Pedro Peaks

San Pedro Peaks Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The San Pedro Parks Wilderness sits on a high granite plateau at the northwestern edge of the Jemez Mountains. The peaks average 9,500 feet in elevation. Damp granitic soils produce extensive meadows interrupted by open stands of fir and spruce, offering an expansive feeling not often found high in the mountains.

Although the hiking is easy, this unique landscape is little known and sees few visitors. It is the perfect summer escape from the crowds. The extensive trail network invites a couple days of exploration."
