"This is a short scenic hike to a babbling wilderness brook. Upon topping out on the high ridges above Little Creek, Brushy Mountain and the surrounding uplands come into view. The first 0.8 mile goes sharply uphill on a rock-stepped zigzag course to the mesa above Cliff Dweller Canyon. At this point just past a stretch of rocky outcrops the trail enters the 2011 Miller Burn. The fire perimeter encompasses the rest of the route almost to Little Creek. From the rock outcropping the clear trail travels across a grassy pinyon- juniper mesa, rising gradually to a burned-out ponderosa pine park. As a result of the recent fires, grasses and young pine trees are flourishing."
