Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

Bill and Polly Cunningham
"This route offers a good cross section of the center of the Wilderness, from the Gila River canyon to sweeping mountain vistas. Solitude, scenic vistas, and a chance for wildlife sightings can be found in this remote country. From river bottom to mountaintop, this hike samples a wide diversity of landscapes within the Gila Wilderness. The trip begins on the Alum Camp Trail with a spectacular view down the Gila River valley."
