Mid-elevation Lakes Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Here are 10 stillwaters in New Mexico’s 6,000–9,000' elevation range worth exploring with a fly rod. The others are often big, windswept, and not suitable for the light rods and piddly craft we use. Although these lakes are popular with many home state fly-rodders, most visitors seem to prefer tumbling waters.
Types of Fish: Rainbow trout; largemouth bass. This eTrail covers the "where, when, and how" to fish in this region. You'll get a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to bring, and the best flies to use."
