North Baldy Trail #8 Professional Reviews and Guides
"This is a moderate day hike along the crest of the Magdalena Mountains. The Magdalena Mountains are beautiful; although time did not allow me to add another trail or two here in the second edition, I highly recommend spending some time in these mountains. The Magdalena Mountains are a fairly small range in area, but with a top elevation of 10,783 feet are the third highest range in southern New Mexico. The mountains rise abruptly from the surrounding grassy plains. Numerous old mines, most long abandoned, lie scattered throughout the mountains."
