King of the Mountain Professional Reviews and Guides

"Located on the eastern slope of the Sandias at Sandias Peak Ski Area; about 30 miles northeast of Albuquerque. King of the Mountain, open for two-way traffic, is rated black by the ski area going up because it is the most difficult trail on the mountain.

You will be on Mule Deer and Falcon Ridge for the first 1.6 miles. Check out the ski area's map if this seems confusing. The area is well marked. For lunch, visit the Double Eagle II Outdoor Grill (at the base), which serves, burritos, burgers, and dogs, and a variety of daily specials. 16.4 miles on singletrack."
