Guadalupe Ridge

Guadalupe Ridge Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A day hike or easy overnight trip along a little-traveled high ridge of the Guadalupe Mountains.

The hike can be hot in midday in summer and is exposed to lightning on much of its route during storms. Winter storms are relatively uncommon; snow melts off quickly. There are several springs down below and off the trail. However, they can be difficult to find, so plan to carry enough water. The trail follows part of the backbone of the Guadalupe Mountains from near Dark Canyon Lookout to the end of improved FR 540."
