Holt Mountain Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike samples a wide diversity from lower pinyon-juniper brushlands to higher-elevation conifer-aspen forests. At nearly 10,000 feet Holt Mountain rises apart from the surrounding mountains to offer superb high-country vistas.

This challenging excursion samples a great western swath of the Gila from rocky canyon to forested peaks at the southern edge of the massive 2012 fire. Camping is possible near Holt Spring, which is a reliable water source most of the year."
