Mesa del Sol: Future Perspectives Professional Review and Guide

"Located on the southern outskirts of town, Mesa del Sol is a large-scale mixed-use master planned community. At 12,900 acres—nearly the size of the borough of Manhattan—it occupies about 12 percent of the city of Albuquerque. Much of the land is held in state trust primarily for the University of New Mexico.

Attractions on the mesa include the Bernalillo County Regional Recreation Complex, a 640-acre facility with 44 sports fields and the Isleta Amphitheater. Formerly known as the Mesa del Sol Amphitheater, the Journal Pavilion, and the Hard Rock Pavilion, the outdoor music venue has a capacity of 15,000 and hosts events like Tim McGraw’s Sundown Heaven Town."
