Wickecheoke Creek Preserve Trail

Wickecheoke Creek Preserve Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If ever there were pristine woods in central New Jersey, this is it. Clean trails, sparkling trout-stocked waters, and a sense of sanctity prevail.

You and your dog will enjoy this energetic creek and wide swaths of bedrock, the solitariness of the hike, and walking down an old-fashioned country road. It takes a little bit of road hiking to get there, but it is well worth it."

The trail seemed to be overgrown and inaccessible at the entrance off Route 519. Red trail marks on trees were seen, but the trail itself was not visible through the growth.

Very nice level 1 hiking. With some road hiking, you can hike from Pralls Mills to Locktown. New info kiosk erected just up the Creek from the Mill, so that's the best place to start. Or go to www.njconservation.org.
Hopefully that guide will be uploaded to trails.com.
