Kittatinny Mountains Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"From the rolling farmlands, pastures, fields, and open woods of the Kittatinny Valley, this traverse takes you up along the ridge of the Kittatinny Mountains on a rocky footpath that passes through hickory and scrub oak forests.
One of the highlights is High Point State Park, where the Appalachian Trail passes near the high point in the state of New Jersey. A short side trail (0.25 mile round-trip) leads from the A.T. to the summit (elevation 1,803') with its stone monument."
