Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area Professional Review and Guide

"It doesn’t take much work to get to the great views and sights in this small county park. Outdoor enthusiasts in northern New Jersey have long known that Pyramid Mountain is a special place.

This small 934-foot bump near Boonton’s Taylortown Reservoir boasts a diverse forest with some species that are otherwise rare in the state. The mountain is home to Tripod Rock, a large glacial erratic sitting on three smaller boulders, and also offers sweeping views to the east and west."
