Spruce Run Reservoir Professional Review and Guide
"A huge body of water with dozens of coves to explore and lots of wildlife to observe will provide you with hours of paddling pleasure. A 1,193 acre section of the Clinton Wildlife Management Area and the 2,012-acre Spruce Run State Park surround most of the 1,290-acre reservoir, offering thousands of acres of forest and undisturbed habitat for wildlife viewing and paddling. Built in 1965 for the Elizabethtown Water Company, the reservoir’s highly irregular outline resembles an amoeba on steroids. Recreational facilities at the park include a swimming beach, ball fields, concession stands, and small boat rentals. Campsites are available, inviting you to spend a few rewarding days. Make reservations ahead of time to ensure availability."
