Zealand Falls, Ethan Pond, and Webster Cliffs

Zealand Falls, Ethan Pond, and Webster Cliffs Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located along the edges of the Pemigewasset Wilderness, this hike takes you on a moderate ascent to Zealand Falls Hut, where you can enjoy a nice swim at the top of the falls as you gaze out to the mountains in the east. From the falls it is a gradual descent to pretty Ethan Pond, home to both moose and bear. Many have been spotted there, so keep an eye out.

Tamarack, also called the eastern larch, lines the shores of the pond. The descent from the pond is long and gradual, but get ready for some major huffing and puffing once the hike crosses US 302 and climbs steadily to superb views from Webster Cliffs, Mount Webster, Mount Jackson, and Mount Pierce."
