This hike is short, though steep at times, but rewards hikers with panoramic views of the northern Presidential Range from a small ledge in Randolph. The hike follows the Ledge Trail, which is just one of numerous trails in the Northern Presidentials and Kilkenny Range that are maintained by the Randolph Mountain Club. The town of Randolph is a small, tightly knit community that has been home to many dedicated hikers for more than a century, and many homes are connected to each other and the surrounding mountain trails by casual footpaths that wind throughout the community. Lookout Ledge is accessible from many points within Randolph, but the Ledge Trail is the most direct route.
