This unique cascade flows at an interesting angle and is flanked by a steep cliff. Industrial remains and a unique lenticular bridge can be seen nearby. A nice wide beach above the falls provides a great spot to take a dip on a hot summer day. Although there are concrete structures, electric poles, train tracks, and an old bridge nearby, the area near the falls is, surprisingly, still very beautiful. The rapids here are very strong and cascade down wide slanted bedrock over a 25-foot drop. Many people jump off the cliff into the water, and a number of brave souls jump off the lenticular full-deck truss bridge. This should be done with extreme caution and at your own risk; more than a dozen confirmed deaths have occurred here, almost all from jumpers.
