Hiked the Cherry Mountain Trail on 4/22/06 and had a great time. Still some ice and snow, especially on the spur trail to Owls Head. The trail is a steady incline from start to finish with a brief incline and semi-scramble before the ridge. I particularly enjoyed the solitude of this little used trail and the beauty of the forest as you climb. While the view of the presidentials, including Washington, is very good I think the solitude and beauty of the trail should be the main draw.
