Basin Rim Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The Basin is an impressive glacial cirque (a bowl-shaped ravine carved out by a glacier) in the Evans Notch region. The best view of it, which includes impressive cliffs and Basin Pond, is from the Basin Rim, a ridge in the Baldface-Royce Range."
