This trail is open to riders of all ability levels. There’s no elevation gain, but hey, you’re at the beach; what do you expect. The many humps are lots of fun, and the logs are big enough to require some attention and effort. There’s a maze of trails in here, but the blue arrows mark the loop fairly well. Tread: Sand singletrack and doubletrack. Most of it is surprisingly hard-packed. Crossing the loose fire roads will have you sinking and flailing at times, though.

these trail is so comfuse why ok here is why.1)- is not in the direction that trails have, it end it up been in the unc rear section of the university. 2) i follow the direction to the trail by the one that trails.com has and i end up getting loss is no near the direction, the one in trail.com show to be somewhere 421 like around the north carolina battleship so i took that and i got loss i could find it at all.3)i saw another direction in the trail page that took me to the unc parking lot, and no luck there as well and i ask people around to see if they new about it since they have alot of bikes around but NO ONE KNEW WHERE THAT TRAIL WAS. so i give it up but that time. so my wife told me to go and talk to the unc police to see if they knew, and it was some how useful cause they told me that behine the university weer alot of trails that student go to, so we deside to go and yeah they were trails in there but i dont know is that the one that trails.com is talking about so if someone out there know about these trail in wilmington let me know please!

We arrived with hybrid bikes a couple of days after 4" of rain. The trails had dried out nicely, and were a blast. The UNC kids were gone for Thanksgiving vacation, so we had the area to ourselves. The smoothness of the trails allowed us to rip around with impunity. This is not technical riding, nor are there any hills, but one can entertain himself for an hour or two.
