The Boogerman Trail

The Boogerman Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike mixes multiple bridge crossings on Caldwell Fork Trail, one of the Smokies best stream hikes, with historic ruins and sights of the Smokies’ inspiring ancient forests along the Boogerman Trail.

The Caldwell Fork Trail bisects a huge drainage, where a variety of trails create diverse day and overnight circuit hikes. A loop using the Boogerman Trail is one of the best, for a 7.4- mile circuit. Leave the tiny parking spot beside the road on Caldwell Fork Trail, and cross a big single log bridge, the first of twenty that lead up this trail. This may be your first photo— it’s a great downstream nature shot, not to mention with one of your hiking companions standing on the bridge!"
