Spanish Moss Trail

Spanish Moss Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This short loop trail is found within Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. The park has wooded campsites, a large lake with a swimming area, and canoe rentals. The cliff overlook gives you a bird’s-eye view, and the trail itself brings you right down to the river’s edge.

This pleasant state park borders the shoreline of the Neuse River. The river was named for the Neusiok Tribe of Native Americans who once lived along the banks. At an impressive 275 miles, the Neuse is the longest river contained completely
within North Carolina."
