Cliffs of the Neuse State Park

Cliffs of the Neuse State Park Professional Review and Guide

"With hiking trails that lead down to the river and cliffside overlooks that give you a bird’s-eye view from above, Cliffs of the Neuse is quite a pleasant park. There’s a lovely lake in which you can swim, and you can rent canoes and paddleboats by the hour. The campsites are wooded and well spaced.

The only drawback is that there’s a US Air Force Base just up the road, so you can occasionally hear the thunderous roar of the jet planes overhead. Aside from that one drawback, this is a
great place to camp and among my favorites in the coastal region.

There is 1 wheelchair-accessible site."
