Hanging Rock Challenge

Hanging Rock Challenge Professional Review and Guide

"Hanging Rock State Park is the major destination for several bike rides in the area. Hanging Rock is a jagged peak prominent in a range of Mountains called the Sauratowns. They stand nearby but apart from the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Indeed, the ride to the top of the state park features outstanding views of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west. The route passes by rolling, Piedmont farmland planted primarily in corn and tobacco. This ride could be dubbed the "Tobacco Barn Ramble." Terrain: rolling hills to mountainous."

The trail was great, just as they described. I will say that you should only do this trail if you are rested and have the capacity to do it. The hills in Danbury and on Moore Springs Rd are extremely steep and when it says you will stand on your pedals, it is not a joke. OTherwise best ride I have done so far.
