West Fork French Broad: CR 1309 Bridge to US 64 Bridge Professional Review and Guide
"The West Fork of the French Broad forms as drainage between Round Mountain and Big Pisgah Mountain in Pisgah National Forest. It runs quietly through a valley for several miles before entering a short, steep gorge below where it confluences with the North, East, and Middle Forks to form the French Broad. This run starts off with a bang—the three largest rapids come in the first mile of the run. Below the first mile, the river settles into a fun Class II–III pace. This section is runnable only after extended rainfall."
