This is a very easy route to some high altitude views. It seems as if the forest road is almost level as you gradually climb from Stecoah Gap along the side of the Cheoah Bald to a grassy vantage point atop a knoll. All along the way you can see the Great Smoky Mountains, the Snowbird Range and the tiny community of Stecoah far below.
