Horse Cove Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Horse Cove is an unpretentious, small campground adjacent to playful Santeetlah (San-TEE-lah) Creek. Located primarily along Horse Cove Branch, a tributary of Santeetlah Creek, its minimal facilities have an unpolished, old-time feel. In a way, it is two campgrounds: the lower 6 being year-round sites and the upper 11 warm-weather sites.
The lower, year-round sites on Santeetlah Creek are across Forest Service Road 416 from the main campground and have a spur road of their own. A pit toilet is the only amenity, although water is available from a spigot in summer and from the creek in winter. These sites overlook Santeetlah Creek from a heavily wooded knoll."
