Horse Cove Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Horse Cove is an unpretentious, small campground adjacent to playful Santeelah Creek. Located primarily along Horse Cove Branch, a tributary of Santeelah Creek, Horse Cove Campground has an unpolished, old-time feel with its minimal facilities. In a way, it is two campgrounds: the lower 6, year-round sites and the upper 11, warmweather sites.
The lower, year-round sites on Santeelah Creek are across Forest Service Road 416 from the main campground. They have a spur road of their own. A pit toilet is the only amenity, although water is available from a spigot in summer and the creek in winter. These sites overlook Santeelah Creek from a heavily wooded knoll."
