Cherokee National Forest-Slickrock Creek Loop

Cherokee National Forest-Slickrock Creek Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Make a wilderness loop along raucous Slickrock Creek, a wild mountain watercourse framed in wooded beauty. You will first walk above serpentine Calderwood Lake, then turn into the Smokies-esque stream.

The first of two fords leads to Lower Falls; with its huge pool, its a draw for summertime swimmers. Finally, climb away from the stream and make a circuit back to Calderwood Lake, where a short backtrack returns you to the trailhead."
