Hickory Branch Falls Professional Review and Guide
"Hickory Branch Falls is accessed from Curtis Creek Campground. Despite being in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Parkway, the falls and campground are most often reached from I-40 near Old Fort. Hickory Branch tumbles through a deep vale hemmed in by Buckeye Knob and Moses Ridge. During its frothy flow through crowded rhododendron thickets and rising hardwoods, Hickory Branch finds an erosion-resistant cliff, spilling into a gravelly pool ensconced in vegetation."
