Jordan Lake State Recreation Area: New Hope Overlook Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The camping at New Hope Overlook is tent only and requires a short hike. A less than 0.25-mile walk leads you to the primitive camping in Area A on the east side of the park. Head in the other direction, and you soon come to Area B on the west side of the park.

Six boat ramps grace this portion of the recreation area, and since they are open to the public, they do see a bit of traffic. New Hope has just over 8 miles of hiking trails, so you may want to bring a daypack along as well. You can fish anywhere in the park, but make sure you have your state fishing license in hand prior to launching your lure."
