Mile High Professional Review and Guide
"This difficult loop on the Cherokee Indian Reservation sticks to the high elevations for its entire length. Get ready for long descents, even longer lung-busting climbs, and plenty of spectacular views. Highlights: Panoramic mountain views, stream crossing, long steep uphill, high altitude"
--Jim Parham, Off The Beaten Track Volume I: A Guide to Mountain Biking in Western North Carolina - The Smokies (Milestone Press).
Hmmm what can i say except I think this map needs to be updated. A very experienced mountain biker and outdoor orienteer and I rode this trail and after 90 minutes were thoroughly lost. The parkway was closed due to show and ice
and that was cool (pardon the pun). Could be a great ride but we had to backtrack after spending almost two hours riding all over trying to figure out where we were. Ended up backtracking.
